The summer school aims to provide an overview of latest analysis methods and methodological principles for working with (digital) data in humanities and social sciences through hands-on workshops and plenary lectures. There are 13 workshops focusing on analysing and visualising textual and spatial data, social media and networks.

PhD and MA students and also supervisors from all fields of humanities and social sciences are invited to attend.

3 ECTS can be awarded for full participation. This means one lecture and one workshop every day.

There is no participation fee. Accommodation can be arranged for participating members of the organising graduate schools. 

 

 

The summer school is organised on the initiative of Centre for Digital Humanities and Information Society at University of Tartu in cooperation with Graduate School of Linguistics, Philosophy and Semiotics; Graduate School of Culture Studies and Arts; Doctoral School of Behavioural, Social and Health Sciences; Doctoral School in Economics and Innovation and Estonian Doctoral School of Educational Sciences.
