Remote access to databases

On-campus access

Databases and e-journals purchased or subscribed to by the University of Tartu Library are accessible directly over the university’s computer network.

Off-campus access

VPN Connection
To access library resources from outside the university network, we recommend using a VPN connection. VPN provides full access to all databases, e-journals, and e-books subscribed to by the University of Tartu Library.

You will need a university user account to set up and use the VPN connection.

Remote Access without VPN
If you prefer not to set up a VPN, you can still access databases through the UT proxy server:

1. Go to the Databases section on the University Library homepage.
2. Select Remote access with UT username and password below the database you want to use.
3. Log in with your university user account when prompted.
