Programme<\/b> \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe eightteenth event in the series will introduce Japanese tea culture<\/b>. The event is hosted by the UT Human Resources Office and <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Tartu Nature House<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>. The organizers of the event are <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Embassy of Japan in Estonia<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>University of Tartu Asia Centre<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Japanese restaurant Tokumaru<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>. The making of the tea is demonstrated by Ms. Chisato Ohtsuka.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYou will have the chance to learn exciting things about the customs and traditions of Japanese tea & food traditions. In Japan, tea is more than just a hot drink. It is a significant ritual that has a lot of meaning within the history and culture. The tea ceremony represents purity, tranquillity, respect and harmony and a lot of preparation goes into this important event. During this culture evening you will have the opportunity to take part in a tea demonstration and learn how to make and drink Japanese matcha tea.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
