This presentation explains the theory and concept of sustainable craft, based on Niina V\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4nen\u2019s dissertation in 2020, Sustainable craft \u2013 dismantled and reassembled. The presentation also brings out latest viewpoints from research related to the topic and examples on how to apply theory into practice.\u00a0<br>There will be a 35 minute lecture via Zoom, followed by 10 minutes of questions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em><strong>Niina V\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4nen<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"105\" height=\"155\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-43\" style=\"width: 105px;height: 155px;float: right\" src=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/542\/vaananenniina105x155px.jpg\" title=\"vaananenniina105x155px.jpg\" alt=\"v\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4nen\"><br>A visiting researcher in School of Applied Educational Science and Teacher Education, University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu, Finland. Dr. V\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4nen is a craft teacher, specializing in clothing and textile crafts and design. She has also complimented her studies with multimaterial craft and special education studies. Her doctoral studies focused on conceptualizing sustainable craft on practical, theoretical, and conceptual levels.
