{"id":64,"date":"2020-02-05T09:43:50","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T01:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/cgem\/researchers-wanted\/"},"modified":"2024-04-04T04:48:08","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T01:48:08","slug":"researchers-wanted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/cgem\/researchers-wanted\/","title":{"rendered":"Researchers WANTED!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tThe cGEM project has launched the third\u00a0call to look for\u00a0<strong>international talent<\/strong>\u00a0to complement the team of Institute of Genomics.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWe are looking for two\u00a0highly motivated postdoctoral researchers in\u00a0genetics, medical, bioinformatics, molecular biology, cell biology,\u00a0archaeogenetics, biological anthropology or related fileds\u00a0 to join an interdisciplinary research group formed through the ERA Chair project Centre\u00a0for Genomics, Evolution and Medicine (cGEM) at the University of Tartu, Estonia.\u00a0<strong>This group, led by cGEM ERA Chair Dr Anders Eriksson, was recently formed with the goal to bridge the fields of bioinformatics, evolutionary biology and genomic medicine.<\/strong>\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe postdoc\u2019s work will focus on genetic adaptations to environmental and cultural changes in human populations of West Eurasia during the last 20,000 years, a time period that covers major shifts in climate, diet and pathogen exposures in this region.
