\n\tMA theses are assessed according to the following general criteria:\n<\/p>\n
\n\tMore detailed information about the marking rubric can be found on the Evaluation Shee<\/a>t and grade convesion table<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n\t\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe grade for the thesis\u00a0is calculated based on the following components:\n<\/p>\n \n\t\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n\tIf students find the final result of the MA thesis to be unfair, they can present their argument in an appeal to the programme managers of the University of Glasgow within five working days after the final defence. The programme manager will appoint an external examiner who provides a fourth opinion on the thesis. The Joint Board of Examiners discusses and decides upon the appeal, taking into account all four reviews and assessments. The Joint Board of Examiners can either raise or lower the grade.
