This years\u2019 Colloquium Balticum is connected to the research Day on Neohumanism in Tartu (October 12th), which is open to reseachers from other universities and disciplines.\u00a013th\u201315th October will be\u00a0dedicated to different subjects:<\/p>\n<p><i>* What and what for is Classical philology?\u00a0Self-reflection of the discipline \u2018classical philology\u2019\u00a0from case studies, dedicated to scholars and or special research themes to personal answers to this, in respect of modern time.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>* How do we learn and speak Greek and Latin?\u00a0The didactics and practice of ancient languages (and study of ancient culture in general) in antiquity, Early modern period, 19th century and\/or today<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>* What are the classical authors?\u00a0Development and remodelling of the canon of classical authors from Alexandria to the Renaissance, 19th century<\/i>\u00a0<i>and today, with the main focus on Halle-Tartu axis.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>* What is the message of classical authors?
