Under the changing climate, we need to quantify the variability of<span style=\"background:white\"><span style=\"color:#222222\"> temperature and rainfall patterns to understand the impact of climate change on ecosystems.<\/span><\/span> In this workshop, <\/span>we teach the participants how to handle NetCDF datasets, apply the Mann-Kendall (MK) test and calculate Sen\u2019s slope (SS) values on a gridded climate dataset<span lang=\"EN-NZ\" style=\",sans-serif\">.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pangeo.io\/about.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"481\" height=\"120\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-51\" style=\"width:320px;height:80px;margin:5px\" src=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/358\/pangeo_icon.png\" title=\"pangeo_icon.png\" alt=\"Pangeo\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/358\/pangeo_icon.png 481w, https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/358\/pangeo_icon-300x75.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 481px) 100vw, 481px\"><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\n\t<span lang=\"EN-NZ\" style=\",sans-serif\">We will be using Python packages from the <\/span><a data-url=\"https:\/\/pangeo.io\/about.html\" href=\"https:\/\/pangeo.io\/about.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Pangeo<\/a><span lang=\"EN-NZ\" style=\",sans-serif\"> community, including <\/span><a data-url=\"http:\/\/jupyter.org\/\" href=\"http:\/\/jupyter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Jupyter<\/a><span lang=\"EN-NZ\" style=\",sans-serif\"> notebooks and the <\/span><a data-url=\"https:\/\/xarray.pydata.org\/en\/latest\/\" href=\"https:\/\/xarray.pydata.org\/en\/latest\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Xarray<\/a><span lang=\"EN-NZ\" style=\",sans-serif\"> toolkit <\/span>for working with labeled multi-dimensional arrays of data.
