{"id":115,"date":"2020-11-13T09:00:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T09:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/archemy.ee\/mesmerize\/"},"modified":"2026-03-04T10:59:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T08:59:32","slug":"mesmerize","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/archemy\/","title":{"rendered":"Archemy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Archemy is the first archaeochemistry lab in the Baltics that combines archaeology with analytical chemistry<\/strong> and aims to bridge the humanities and natural sciences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Our mission<\/strong>\u00a0is to\u00a0encourage collaborative, transdisciplinary research that supports the growth of regional research centres, to promote thoughtful heritage management, new ways of knowledge acquisition, and connecting the past with the present and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Our vision<\/strong> is to be a\u00a0leading research hub\u00a0in the\u00a0eastern Baltic\u00a0bridging\u00a0natural sciences and humanities\u00a0through\u00a0cutting-edge biomolecular archaeology.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Archemy brings together broad expertise in material culture studies, human osteology, zooarchaeology, and archaeobotany. We maintain close institutional links with the Institute of Chemistry, which has a long-standing record of excellence in the chemical analysis of cultural heritage materials, as well as with the Institute of History and Archaeology.
