For the last two years,\u00a0the\u00a030 Day Map Challenge<\/a>\u00a0has\u00a0taken\u00a0place\u00a0on Twitter\u00a0during the month of November. This\u00a0global map-making event was initialised by\u00a0Topi\u00a0Tjukanov<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The idea is to create (and publish) maps based on different themes on each day\u00a0during\u00a0that\u00a0month\u00a0and post them on Twitter\u00a0using the hashtag\u202f#30DayMapChallenge<\/a>.\u00a0The\u00a0aim\u00a0of the hackathon is to prepare data and maps for\u00a0the\u00a0\u202f#30DayMapChallenge.\u00a0We\u00a0aim to have\u00a0small teams (2-4 people\u00a0each) who will choose different themes and\u00a0then\u00a0prepare the initial\u00a0concepts\u00a0and data for the maps that would be finalised by November when the actual challenge will\u00a0take place on Twitter.\u00a0The final maps will be published in social media as team\u00a0works.<\/p>\n

Where:<\/strong> Department of Geography,\u00a0Vanemuise\u00a046-327 and via Zoom<\/p>\n

Who:<\/strong>\u00a0All students interested in making beautiful maps\u00a0and wrangling geospatial data, this event is for you!<\/p>\n

The event will be held in English.<\/p>\n
